MUISHIZEN HOTEL ATAMI

熱海に新設されるリゾートホテルのFFEデザイン(Furniture, Fixture & Equipment)。
建築と内装の計画が既に進行している中で、このホテルに最適な家具デザインが求められた。傾斜地にあるホテルからは森林や海の壮麗な景色を一望でき、まさに他に類を見ない景観を楽しむことができる。家具の位置づけとしては、これらの自然を主役と捉え、訪れる人がここから見える景色を遮ることなく体感できるように、家具を脇役として主役を引き立てる存在にすることを考えた。
自然と調和させるのではなく、あえて対比を意識し、家具を直線的で静的な形状で構成することで、整然と佇む家具と景色の間に差異を生み出し、移ろいゆく木々や海原の表情をより一層際立たせることを目指した。

  Project about furniture, fixtures & equipment design for a new resort hotel in Atami, Shizuoka Pref. With architectural and interior plans already underway, the client required the optimum furniture design.
  The hotel is located on a slope, giving a magnificent view of the forest and the sea, a truly unparalleled landscape. To fully respect the natural features view, furniture acts a supporting role, not blocking the great view, which offers visitors an experience of enjoying the views without interruption. Instead of harmonizing with nature, we dared to be conscious of the contrasts between furniture and natural scenery.
  Furniture was given linear and static shapes, living together in the view of the landscape to highlight the moment of the changing natural face time by time, of trees and the seascape throughout the day.

  为热海的一家新度假酒店设计家具、固定装置和设备 (FFE)。
  酒店的建筑和室内设计已经开始，因此需要最适家具设计。酒店坐落在斜坡上，可以欣赏到森林和大海的壮丽景色，真是无与伦比的景观。在定为家具时，我们认为这些自然景观是全场的主角，而家具则是配角，与主要景点相辅相成，这样游客就可以不受干扰地体验这里的美景。
  我们并不追求与自然的和谐统一，而是大胆采用对比的手法，将家具设计成线性和静态的形状，目的是在整齐矗立的家具和景观之间形成差异，并更加突出树木和海景的变化表情。
